For those who are unaware, Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American inventor and engineer who made game changing contributions to modern electricity. I feel like I should begin by warning readers that this is a highly animated slot, full of electric volts, sparks, spinning cogs and a frantic Tesla himself, who clambers about his machine banging a hammer and taking notes. So, if flashing images and constant activity agitate your eyes, there’s every chance that you might struggle with this slot.
However, on the flip side, you do have to admire Yggdrasil’s obviously extremely talented design team for their exceptional attention to detail and creativity. The quality of the graphics is impeccable, and easily one of the best I’ve seen in recent years. The grid is set in Tesla’s lab, where he’s working on some ominous new machine. It’s not really clear what the machine does, but it looks sufficiently convoluted for us to presume it’s groundbreaking.
The symbols in play are a combination of magnifying goggles, stopwatches and capacitors (a device used to store an electrical charge). The low value symbols are represented by and A, K, Q, and J, which have been designed within cogs to fit in nicely with the theme. The remaining symbol is a Free Spins symbol, which naturally triggers the bonus game, but more on this below.
