The color palette for this slot is themed around flame and fire, so expect warm oranges and browns completed by the occasional flash of flickering flame. The grid is framed in gold and set against yellowing parchment etched with drawings of the magical phoenix bird. The only other thing that will strike you upon your first glance is the sheer size of the grid. Spread across 8 reels, you’re met with a far larger spread of symbols then usual.
The symbols themselves are a collection of roughly-hewn card suits in yellow, orange and green, together with scrolls, rings, spell books and cups. Phoenix Fire Power Reels has 10 symbols in total made up of four low paying symbols, four premium symbols, a phoenix Wild, and a free spins Scatter. The music is orchestral and quite beautiful to listen to, spoiled only by the overlaid sound effects of the chugging reels. Unfortunately these can’t be individually disabled. There’s no particular storyline to be aware of with this slot, the phoenix does little more than spread his wings in a flurry of fire, but the effect is satisfying enough to keep you entertained.
