About Victoria Wild Slot
Frequent slot players won’t be strangers to the prospect of an adventure-themed slot. They’ll be even more familiar with smarmy male leads kitted out in safari gear. Victoria Wild follows a similar premise, except that the smug main character is female and fabulous instead. She’s hunting for treasures in the desert where Wild Tornados and a sparkling Oasis aren’t just parts of the landscape, but built-in special features. There’s also an ancient temple that conceals the bewitching Wheel of Desires. All of this takes place on 5 reels and 15 paylines, coming together to offer players glittering wins of up to 20,000 times the bet. Sounds great on paper, read on to dig a little deeper.
What is the theme of Victoria Wild slot?
The most obvious visual clue of Victoria Wild is that it’s set in a sprawling desert. However, where in the world this desert is located isn’t specified. Just to hammer home the wasteland theme, a hungry looking vulture bobs away on the right side of the screen, kept company only by dehydrated foliage and piles of rubble. The soundtrack is fantastic, and I allowed it to play on at low volume. It’s reminiscent of the orchestral music that often accompanies science fiction adventure movies, a suitable theme song to go along with Victoria’s vague mission.
Across the reels are nine regular symbols. These are made up of four low value symbols (the four points of a compass), four mid-range value symbols (canteen, boots, motorbike, and handgun) and only one premium symbol. Completing the line up are three different Wild symbols (which makes sense considering the game’s name) represented by a Tornado, a Lamp and a Waterfall. These don’t appear at the same time or on every spin. Instead, each one is designated to an individual Free Spins game, but we’ll get into these further below.
The last symbols (that don’t hold any monetary value in themselves) are the Scatters, which can appear on any reel in the base game and are responsible for triggering special features. These are represented by an Oasis symbol and Victoria herself. The designs are engaging and fully original, which is always something I appreciate in a themed game.
How to play Victoria Wild slot
Victoria Wild is many things, and being stingy with special features isn’t one of them. Players have a lot to look forward to when they begin spinning the reels of this adventure slot.
The Sandstorm feature is randomly triggered during the base game. When it kicks into action, Sandstorm will randomly drops anything from two to six Tornado Wilds across the reels. These will help to boost wins in the usual way, but if one Tornado Wild collides with another Tornado Wild, the Sticky Tornado Re-spins are activated (see next).
Sticky Tornado Re-Spins
During Re-spins, all Wilds will become sticky and hold their place while reels re-spin. If a new Wild appears during re-spin, it also becomes sticky and joins the existing Sticky Wilds. The feature only ends when no new Wilds appear during a re-spin.
Temple Free Spins
If you land three or more Scatters anywhere on the reels you’ll activate the Temple Free Spins. The number of spins awarded will depend on the number of Scatters that triggered the feature:
- Three Scatters offers 8 spins
- Four Scatters offers 10 spins
- Five Scatters offers 11 spins
During the feature you’ll have the opportunity to collect Lamp Wilds. Seven or more of these will activate the Secret Treasury (Wheel of Desire) at the end of the Free Spins.
Wheel of Desire
The Secret Treasury awards you with one Wheel of Desire spin. The Wheel carries the opportunity to scoop up one of many different wins:
- Several different coin wins (250, 500, 750, 1000, and 2500)
- Several different multipliers on the total win from the Temple Free Spins (2 x, 5 x, 10 x, 15 x, 25 x)
- No win at all
Oasis Free Spins
During the base game you’ll notice a map on the sixth reel. Each time an Oasis symbol is dropped on the reels, the map progress increases by one. Collect 25 Oasis symbols to activate ten Oasis Free Spins. During this bonus game, Waterfall Wilds appear on reels two, three, four, and five. When they land, these will expand to cover the whole reel.
What is the RTP on Victoria Wild slot?
Victoria Wild is a 5 reel game that comes with 15 fixed paylines. Taking a look under the hood you’ll discover a Medium volatility math model and a fairly generous RTP rating of 96.55%.Strangely, players can only set bets on a scale from C$0.15 up to a maximum of C$0.45. This probably has something to do with the game’s potential of a maximum prize of 20,000 times the bet and the desire to limit the fallout somewhat.
The game’s symbols carry decent value. Even the four low value symbols are worth 3 x each for five of a kind. This gets boosted to 15 x for six of a kind. The mediums get a little extra boost, worth up to 9 x the bet for a line of five, or 45 x for six of a kind.
Victoria is (quite rightly) worth the most. If you can match five of her lovely visage then you’ll be rewarded with a payout of 24 x the bet, or 120 x the bet if you match six of the same. Keep in mind that it’s only ever possible to match six symbols during the Oasis Free Spins, making it not so very likely. The standard Tornado Wild has the same value as the Victoria symbol, while also being able to substitute for any regular pay symbol.
Should I play Victoria Wild slot?
There is quite a lot to unpack with Victoria Wild. It’s an extremely busy game, bursting with special feature action. It comes with a very promising prize pot of 20,000 times the bet, which would usually be fodder for high rollers. However, they might be slightly put off by the Medium volatility and the fact that the maximum bet sits at a paltry C$45. These two facts aside, Victoria Wild offers players some really exciting gameplay and symbols that carry a decent base value, all wrapped up by a high spec and totally original design. I wouldn’t be surprised if a Victoria Wild sequel is already in the works, set to give Play’n GO’s Rich Wilde a run for his money.
