About Casino

Lucky Bird Casino is unfortunately not available to Canadian players. Instead, take a look at our top 3 alternative casinos below. For more variety, you can also check out our new online casinos page or our top no deposit bonuses in Canada.

Lucky Bird Casino was established in 2019 and registered by Curaçao eGaming. But despite this registration and their undeniably new status, players shouldn’t be all too concerned. That’s because the site is owned and operated by Atlantic Management BV, the same company that’s responsible for other online casinos like All Right, Slottica and SuperCat. The casino provides its players with a variety of games, including video slots, card games, table games, live casino, and even a sportsbook. These games are powered by dozens of leading software suppliers, like NetEnt, Microgaming, Betsoft, and Quickspin, making it all sound rather fantastic on paper. Let’s see what happened when I actually interacted with the site.

What are the highlights of Lucky Bird Casino?

  • Vast range of slots, including some lesser-known gems
  • Ongoing lotteries and tournaments
  • No cash out limit

Lucky Bird Casino Welcome Bonus – 100% up to C$720

I’d first like to say that finding out what the bonus is for Canadian players was a mission and a half. The promotion page didn’t include any details and I had to go through Live Chat, which was exasperating in its own way, but more on that below. So what did I learn? Canadian players will be able to take advantage of a 100% cash match up to C$720 on their first deposit. This may or may not be accompanied by 75 free spins, but the representative said these did not always apply. I found this rather strange but chose not to argue with him further.

The minimum deposit required to access the bonus is a very reasonable C$14. Wagering requirements are set to 45 x, and players can only place bets up to a maximum of C$2. The thing I liked the most about the bonus was the fact that there’s no cash out limit, so whatever you win is yours for the keeping, no questions asked.

At some point there was also a no deposit bonus on offer, but the customer service rep informed me that this too were currently unavailable.

Lucky Bird Casino – Games

Lucky Bird Casino’s 2,000 strong game library is split across an absolutely massive range of developers. Here’s the full list:

  • NetEnt
  • Wazdan
  • Amatic
  • Quickspin
  • XProGaming
  • Microgaming
  • Novomatic
  • Spinomenal
  • iSoftBet
  • BetSoft
  • Evolution Gaming
  • Ezugi
  • Elk Studios
  • Thunderkick
  • Iron Dog Studios
  • Pragmatic Play
  • Booongo
  • Playson
  • Habanero
  • 1×2 Gaming
  • August Gaming
  • Fantasma Games
  • Rakki Games
  • Igrosoft
  • Endorphina
  • Tomhorn
  • Snowborn Games
  • BGaming
  • Boomerang
  • Chance Interactive
  • Bet2Tech
  • Spike Games
  • Betixon
  • Beefee
  • Red Tiger Gaming
  • Revolver
  • Fugaso
  • Gameart
  • Leap Gaming
  • Vivo Gaming
  • Gamshy
  • BB Games
  • GameFish Global
  • Mobilots
  • Lightning Box

Now, as Canadian players, it won’t be possible to access all of these because some developers aren’t licensed to provide their games in our region. But despite this, the variety remains strong enough so that players from our part of the world shouldn’t notice the drop off too much.

Around 1,500 of the games on offer are Slots. These come in all shapes, sizes and themes, with both popular titles and more obscure ones. Because a lot of the developers hosted come from smaller studios, it’s possible to try your luck on slots that you’ve never even heard of before. On the flip side, if you prefer to spin the reels on well known slots, there are also plenty of these available.

Table Games get their own section at Lucky Bird. And while not as copious in numbers as the slot selection, there’s definitely enough to keep in your seat for as long as you like. The games on offer are a range of baccarat, blackjack, roulette and video poker games that come in multiple varieties and styles. You can stick with traditional play, or mix things up with a modern twist, that will come down to personal preference. These games also come from quality developers which guarantee a smooth experience.

Live Casino is the fastest growing sector of online casino, and this isn’t really surprising. While people love convenience, many love the feeling of authenticity even more. Lucky Bird’s live dealer selection comes from a combined effort between NetEnt and XProGaming. While the NetEnt games will largely be unavailable to Canadians, they’ll have full access to the XProGaming games. Unfortunately Lucky Bird falls short in this division, offering just a small handful of titles that are unlikely to tempt players. These are made up of Blackjack, Sic Bo, Single Poker, Dragon Tiger, and Adar Bahar.

Lucky Bird also hosts a number of lotteries and tournaments, which players can access from the promotions page. These all require various minimum deposits and offer the player the opportunity to win a range cash prizes, free spins and leaderboard points. These are all set to timers that generally reset every 4 hours.

The most recent addition to Lucky Bird’s entertainment range is a Sportsbook offering players the opportunity to place pre-match and live bets across all major sporting events. You’d be hard pushed to find a sport that isn’t catered for here, and players can also take their chances on politics and entertainment betting.

Lucky Bird Casino – Look and Feel

My first impression was that Lucky Bird is a big fan of attractive females, having images of them in various costumes plastered all over the banner ads and promotions. There’s nothing wrong with the way that Lucky Bird Casino’s site works. It’s actually better than most, with filtering options throughout, even on the promotions page.

However, I do feel the site is very light on details, meaning that it isn’t particularly transparent, especially when it comes to bonus terms. These have been hidden away within the general terms and written in a very complicated and unclear way. I spent a ridiculously long time reading and scrolling to pull out details which should have been laid out upfront.

Lucky Bird Casino – Payment Methods

Okay so players should be prepared for a mediocre experience here. And I know this is a tough call to make, but I looked into things enough to be sure of my assessment. This is based on timeframes and payment methods available. Things will probably be bother for non-Canadians, and we wish those players well, but here’s what things look like for us.

Deposits can be made through Visa, MasterCard, Skrill, Neteller, ecoPayz, Neosurf, and various cryptocurrencies (bitcoin, ripple, ethereum, tether, dogecoin, litecoin). All of these options allow for a minimum deposit of C$3 and a maximum of C$2,500.

Withdrawals can only be made through Visa, MasterCard, Skrill, and ecoPayz. As with deposits, the minimum withdrawal is C$3 and the maximum is capped at C$2,500.

High rollers will probably be put off by these maximum limitations, with the current set up probably better suited to recreational players. But the thing that really bothered me was that processing time for each withdrawal is set to 36 hours. I don’t understand any online casino’s need to hang on to players funds for that long, especially when most other sites make all necessary checks within 24 hours.

Lucky Bird Casino – Customer Support

While Live Chat is available 24 hours a day, it doesn’t offer the level of convenience you would expect. I had to jump through a few hoops before I reach an actual human. That’s because you aren’t immediately connected but must first answer a few questions which pull up generic answers. Once I did get through to a real representative, the experience was quite slow, and the responses felt a little scripted. I got the impression that the help on offer wasn’t exclusively for Lucky Bird, but shared among other online casinos. It took a little back and forth to get the answers I needed.

If you don’t want to deal with Live Chat then your only other option is to reach out via email, or try the phone number listed on the site, but be prepared for long distance fees with that one. Judging by the experience I had with live chat, you might not get the answer you want immediately. To make things worse, there’s no FAQ available on the site, so players are forced to deal with sub-standard assistance rather than self-serve. Overall, customer support at Lucky Bird is a far more frustrating experience than it really needs to be.

Lucky Bird Casino was a bit of a disappointment in that there was nothing about it that stood out from the crowd. There’s no VIP or loyalty program and customer service was patchy at best and totally lacking a FAQ page. Even the bonuses were lackluster, with high wagering requirements and no free spins on the welcome offer. Canadians have fairly restricted access to the game library and payment options are very limited. I suppose slot fans might want to give this site a go based on the availability of niche games, but that’s about it.
